Children's Programming (Thursday - Saturday)

Parenting & Guardian Guidelines for Under 18 Programming

Our children’s area is a space for creativity, connection, and exploration—but it is not a babysitting service. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we ask parents and guardians to kindly review and follow the guidelines below:

  • Guardianship Requirement: Children must have a parent, guardian, or assigned adult present while attending programming.
    • If a child does not have a guardian with them, a waiver must be signed acknowledging that festival staff and volunteers are not responsible for the child’s supervision.
    • A Child Information Form must be completed. This includes the child’s name, emergency contacts, and a list of approved individuals who may sign the child out or take them from the area.
  • Supervision Reminder: While our team will offer engaging activities, we cannot monitor each child at all times. If a child wanders off, staff and volunteers are not responsible. We strongly recommend that young children have an adult nearby..
  • Beach Safety: For activities near water, children without a guardian present will not be permitted in or near the lake. This is for their safety and the peace of mind of all involved.
  • Community Co-Op: We encourage all parents and guardians to contribute to the magic of our children’s space. This could include: volunteering in craft tents, assisting with workshops, or helping supervise activities.

Thank you for helping us keep this a safe, joyful, and community-driven experience for all of our littlest festival-goers!

Join us as we open the festival with intention, joy, and sacred connection. This ritual marks the beginning of our shared journey—calling the circle, welcoming all who gather, and awakening the energy that will weave through our time together.

We will honour the spirits of the land, acknowledge those who came before us, and invite the blessings of the elements and our ancestors. Together, we set the tone for community, celebration, and magick.

All are welcome—come as you are, and step into the circle with an open heart.

As night falls, gather with us around the sacred fire—the heart of our festival and a beacon for joy, rhythm, and connection. All are welcome to drum and dance and share in the magic of community beneath the stars.

Whether you’re meeting old friends or kindling new bonds, this is a space to let your spirit move and your heartbeat sync with the rhythm of the circle. Stay for a moment or until the sun rises—this fire will burn through the night, fed by laughter, music, and wild, sacred joy.

Bring your drum, your voice, your feet—or simply your presence. The fire awaits.

Brooms, of course, have been connected to the home since humans began to clean and clear their abodes. There are deities connected to them across very nearly all cultures. The making of brooms, and besoms, whisks and switches, have been ingrained into our history here on Turtle Island since the moment our ancestors stepped foot on its soil. Brooms are used in many branches of witchcraft and paganism, and in house magicks, they are an essential tool!

In this hands on crafting workshop, over 4.5 hours, you will learn the art of making a set of 4 kitchen tools (cake tester, pot scrubber, counter whisk and a root veggie scrubber), a hand broom and a House Blessing broom.

House Blessing Brooms are about 3 feet long and can be adorned with protective amulets, crystals and or charms. All applied without any glue being used, but instead added into the weave of your creation. You will also learn how to craft it with intent, how to consecrate it, and then we will discuss the ways it can be used for house magicks with a focus on the home.

The kitchen tools are fairly self explanatory but you will learn their magicks too. The mighty hand broom can be used to clean and clear your altar, or any small messes. Also very handy to ‘sweep down’ a person to help them clear their energy after an intense magickal or psychic experience.

All supplies are included for you to craft your broom:

  • Broomcorn.
  • Broom sticks for your house blessing brooms
  • Cord, many colours to choose from, for winding and weaving your brooms.
  • Some charms and crystals, (please bring your own charms, talismans and/or crystals to add. If I can make it work for you, we will weave them in.)

You will need to bring a notebook and pen to take any additional notes while we discuss the magickal aspects of the class, however notes will be sent via email after the class to all participants.

Space is limited to 8 people and your investment is $125. By the end of the workshop m you will go home with 6, made by you, brooms.

Sign up is required!
