Heathens and Witches and Druids, oh my! Add Voodoo priests, Native Shamans, Ceremonial Magicians, Celts and Greeks and Romans, plus a score of people who are into a little bit of everything and you now have the ingredients for a great Pagan stew … I mean Fest! WiccanFest is the time when many of us return to our collective Tribe to celebrate the things that both bind us together and free us to learn new things. It is coming home to our family and meeting new people. It is celebrating the seasons and this turning of the wheel. This workshop is an introduction of the many “players” – and where they play. It is an overview of the many things that make up this tribe and it is a way each of us can connect to each other to enrich our festival experience. So, if you are new to the festival, come and meet new people. If you have been attending the festival for a long time – come and share your experiences! New or experienced (I refuse to say “old”) – come and share in this discussion to make this the best festival ever!
Never been to a Pagan ritual or always wanted to know more about why someone is waving a sword – or any number of “other” things? Want to setup a ritual, but have no idea how to begin? Maybe you’ve been leading rituals for years and want to learn new ideas or find a simple method to create new rituals. This workshop is for you – no matter where you are in regards to Pagan rituals. We will go over some key elements, where to get ideas and how to alter plans depending on the size of the group. At the end of this workshop, you should have a good understanding of how to setup your own rituals and how to plan things for different types of rituals.
This is an interactive workshop where we will do a reading for our community. It is based on the work Catherine has done over the past 15 years in writing and performing her ritual play Oracles form the Living Tarot. Come learn what it takes to transform yourself into a living tarot card and become an Oracle of the Living Tarot. No acting or previous experience with Tarot is necessary – just the curiosity to learn and have fun! At the end of this workshop, we will have a Tarot reading for our community for the year.
