This Years Special Guest

Merry Meet

What an amazing Summer! I hope you all had the chance to attend at least one gathering and if not, this is your chance! We had a fabulous time at Firedance, Spirits of the Earth, Kaleidoscope and Wic Can Fest and hope you did as well. Let’s celebrate, share, dance, make music and offer thanks as a community one last time before the frost!

The wheel has turned once again and the Harvestide season is upon us. The fields have ripened, the grain has been brought in, and the Earth offers up Her abundance. Work and love have brought fruition. Now we celebrate as the year wanes and we dance with corn and with blade.

We will open the gates at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 9. (A school group is renting the premises until then. Thank you for your understanding). We will host presentations from dinnertime on Friday till Monday evening. Welcome!

During the day in the dining hall, we will carve pumpkins to light the way and at night, after decorating and dressing Him with our offerings, we will once again, revere and sacrifice the Corn King.

We will learn to make corn dollies the traditional way and  bake John Barleycorn in the kitchen.

PS: The evenings can be COLD.  Bring bedding and clothes for cold and mild weather. Shared Indoor Cabin Space is limited and allocated on a first paid/first served basis. Indoor space MUST be confirmed by phone or email once payment has been sent. Our phone # is (705) 454-3077, and Greymoon’s email is greymoonlake@yahoo.ca Pets are NOT allowed on site (unless by express permission or service animals). Vending is permitted and there is no extra fee but you must provide your own set-up. If you wish to present a workshop or ritual relevant to the season, let us know right away by e-mail.  Bring Musical Instruments, Songs, Drums your warm cloaks and an offering for the Corn King.
